ARKON, established in 1988, has its corporate offices and North America warehousing located in Arcadia, California. Its primary production and manufacturing center and Asia operations branch office are strategically located in Taipei, Taiwan. ARKON also established a European Branch office, located near Antwerp, Belgium in 2007.

Many ARKON products are patented and they continue to receive awards and praise from the consumer electronics community. ARKON is the inventor of the Dual T quick release mounting pattern, one of the most prevalent and widely accepted mounting connections in the industry.
